Study Techniques
We have included some tips to help you find ways to make studying more effective, everyone is different, but these suggestions have been spoken about by various high-achieving graduates and students.
Flashcards/Anki Pro
This is a technique heavily complimented by Ali Abdaal and his cohort at university.
It was originally used to learn new languages, however the technique is useful for all types of memorization topics. For example, Ali used this technique to study for medical school in Cambridge.

Paired with spaced repetition, using this technique has proven to be the most effective for a high number of students. Apps like 'Anki Pro' are available for free for Android and desktop.
Active Recall
Instead of copying and rewriting notes (passive learning), active recall is a more effective alternative for memorizing information (Price, 2013).

Active recall ensures that the memory is encoded from short term to long term memory more effectively than passive learning as it requires you to recall, rehearse and retrieve the information from your memory store.
Active Recall can be in the form of practice question/answers, teaching someone about the topic, or testing yourself.
Cornell Note Taking
Maulidia (2021) found that students using the Cornell Note Taking Method improved students' listening skills and comprehension.

On the left of the margin there is space for annotations, vocabulary and definitions a student may come across during a class.
On the right is space for general note-taking of the class content.
